Actually my point was you have to find out if youre with a person who likes giving gifts or not. Some people have too many things on their mind to have to think up a gift if they werent paying attention, and many men dont speak hintanese. LILUIL: Sure there is more to the whole I have better conversations with his friends. He is jealous. First its I'm to quiet and I don't talk to his friends enough. I don't have better conversations with his friends. I see his friends maybe 2x a month, I see him every day. So of course they are gonna have more to say to me. The problem is that he thinks we should talk all the time. What couple talks all the time? Then he thinks that it should be me doing all the talking. Truth be told. My boyfriend is controling. I know I'm stupid for staying with him, but I find it so hard to leave him. Every fight we have, I did something wrong. He actually tried to say something about the clothes I wear. LucreziaBorgia, you are so right as usual and EchoMemory I think you need to read what she wrote when placing value on your internet relationship. Very easy to fall for the idea of someone (that is why a lot of long distance relationships fail too). I know b/c I was there just before my bf and I got serious with someone I met on the internet and had only met in person once. So I have to keep reminding myself of how that was just something in my head and what I have in the flesh with my boyfriend is more important than anything.

I didn't want to jump in on this debate because I go around enough asserting my opinion as truth. But, since I'm here now, I would say that the real question is why does OP even care? OP is upset because her ego got slammed and she didn't like being rejected. She wasn't keen on the guy, then why even care what he said? If I didn't like a girl and she texted me that she wasn't interested, I would be like, whew, what a relief. I don't have to be the bad guy this time.
