Thanks so much for the reply. Its great that you guys are rescuers. My girlfriend also rescued her dog. She found it locked in someone's yard who never fed it and it was soon to die. So she rehabilitated it and I'm sure that gave her a lot of attachment to it. I thought about her resenting me also and I really don't want that.
