So we began to talk everyday, on the phone, on Skype and I would get these good morning messages EVERY morning. Over the next two months we talked about basically everything under the sun, which pleased her because she verbalized her comfort level with me, how she could see us together, how I was different than the other guys she has dated and really wanted to meet me when I return home from school. A couple of days ago I received a message from an unknown number from a guy claiming that my bf and his gf had met up and had sex. He sent me all their emails from each other talking graphically about having sex with each other and how it was a pity that they were both in a relationship but wanted to meet each other. @ Eternal Sunshine: Good question. Part of it was that she was emotionally heavy--we were always having conversations about "where is this going" and it got to be overwhelming and draining for me. Part of it (related) is that she never gave me a chance to chase her. Part of it also was that her life away from me just didn't seem all that appealing. A quick phone call from me just to say hi to her often turned into an hour-plus-long discussion about the latest bit of drama with her difficult ex-husband and custody issues. (Which is one reason why I am really reticent to date single moms today.) Dutiful boyfriend that I was, I listened, but I also found myself feeling relieved when the conversation was over and I had the rest of the day to myself.
